Life as an ESFJ

In the Jung Typology test I scored ESFJ which means Extravert, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging.
I know I have taken this test in the past and I had scored ENFJ which the N stands for intuitive.

While I was reading the personality type description, something had really stood out to me and it was what an ESFJ person really is. The way I took it was, they are people who are very strongly willed and hard workers, people who are willing to provide for others and take care of others and people who wear their heart on their sleeve. As I sit here and go through all of these I realize that all of these things describe me almost perfectly. I've never been the type of person to sit back and think who I really am and what my purpose is, but this test has made me do just that.

I am proud to say I am an ESFJ because it truly represents who I am as a person. The communication portion describes us as soft but assertive communicators and I find that 110% true. I will speak soft and calmly but be assertive to get my point across. I also appreciate the fact that we can easily understand and be easily understood.

In the career choices portion I notice that a lot of ESFJ's have direct interaction with other people. It says "Very often ESFJs realize their potential in health care and various community organizations". That is the career field I am studying for is to be a RN.

Also while I am reading this I go to see our famous ESFJ's and my all time FAVORITE actress Rachael McAdams is an ESFJ! I find that very interesting because she has been one of my favorite actress's for years and now I know why, because she and I are very alike!

I really enjoy taking this test and seeing what kind of personality I have and some traits that I have that make me who I am. As a college student it is very important to know who you are and why you do the things you do sometimes. I realize that I am a very sensitive person and wear my heart on my sleeve and everybody notices that and I now know its because I am an ESFJ.

  1. Kourtney - Nice reflection. Be sure to provide what the type indicators mean in reference to the survey in order for your reader to better understand your connections and comparisons. Don't assume your audience knows. ~Ms. A.
